Damadamm is a romantic comedy where Sameer played by Himesh Reshammiya is fed up of his girlfriend’s constant possessiveness and jealousy. Sameer and his girlfriend Shikha played by Purbi Joshi work together where Sameer is a script writer for Hindi films. Shikha constantly doubts Sameer, but Sameer is a kind soul and cannot even break up with her even though he has had enough of her suspicions.
One day Shikha gets invited to a family function where she has to travel and spend a few weeks away from office. This is the time of total rejoice for Sameer as he gets his much needed freedom and respite from his girlfriend’s prying eyes. A new girl Sanjana played by Sonal Sehgal also happens to join the office while Shikha is away on holiday. Sameer and Sanjana are assigned to work on the same project and they develop a friendship which eventually turns into love. Shikha gets back and sees their closeness and breaks up with Sameer. However as Sameer and Sanjana get ready to tie the knot, Sameer realizes that his true love is Shikha.
