Shyam and Sita are street performers and earn their living through daily performances. They not only have to support and bring up their two children Ramu and Radha but also pay a monthly rent. Everything goes well for the family when one night after their performance, Sita is molested by a powerful man named A.M Singh and he kills Shyam. Ramu and Radha are now left devastated from the news of their parents passing. Soon they too grow up to become singers and earn a decent living. Ramu falls in love with Janita while Radha marries Resham from their troupe. Soon Resham becomes abusive and starts to ill treat Radha. A pregnant Radha one day finds Resham in bed with another woman and confronts him. He badly bashes her which leads to her death.
Ramu is inconsolable by this news and takes to alcohol. Just when Janita is about to be molested by A. M Singh, Sita appears and saves her. Janita takes her to Ramu who is overjoyed to meet his mother after 20 years. He eventually learns the truth and kills Singh during a concert. The film is directed and produced by Babbar Subhash. The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri. The star cast includes Mithun Chakraborty, Smita Patil, Mandakini, Shakti Kapoor, Amrish Puri, Dalip Tahil and Om Shivpuri.
