Vikram is an obsessive and abusive husaband. He gets married to Priya and claims he loves her but his way of loving scares her as he is suspicious of her motives, doesn’t let her talk to anyone except him and beats her up when filled with rage. One day a doctor comes to examine Priya after she is beaten by Vikram. Vikram starts to doubt that she is having an affair with the doctor. Tired of the abuse and torture, Priya runs away leaving everything behind during a storm. He however thinks that she has drowned. Priys starts her life all over again in another town and meets Raj Malhotra, who starts to fall in love with her.

 

Priya doesn’t pay heed to his advances at first due to her terrible past but slowly starts to like him too. Soon Raj proposes marriage to her and she refuses. She then writes all her troubles in a letter and gives it to Raj but he mistakenly gets another love letter. Vikram meanwhile sees his wife’s photo in the newspaper and comes to know that she is still alive. He comes to attack her but Raj saves her and comes to know about her past. Vikram falls under a running train and gets killed and Raj accepts her just the way she is.

 

The movie is directed by Abbas-Mastan and produced by Sujit Kumar. The music is composed by Anu Malik and the lyrics are written by Hasrat Jaipuri, Iqbal,Majrooh Sultanpuri and Rahat Indori. The story and screenplay are written by Sachin Bhowmik. The star cast includes Rishi Kapoor, Arbaz Khan, Juhi Chawla, Johnny Lever,Dinesh Hingoo,TikuTalsania,Shiva, Amrut Patel, Razak Khan, Prithvi, Rajnibala, Jugnu, Manmaujee, Ghanshyam, Sushma Seth, Sheela Sharma, Sulbha Arya, and Shraddha Verma.
