Immi, a eunuch was born in 1939 in British India. His mother Zeenat, however refers to him as her younger brother. She is a popular actress and soon gains a lot of success. Soon she falls in love with a man named Inder Kumar Bhalla. A few years later fate plays a tricky game on her, when Inder falls in love with a much younger actress named Chitra, leaving herself to fend for herself. She is devastated and seeks revenge. Zeenat takes to alcohol and gambling to keep her mind of things and soon alienates everyone around her. She also isolates herself from the film world. Later it is Immi who helps her get her life back on track.
