Dassehra is a thriller film of 2018 directed by Manish Vatsalya and produced by Aparna Hoshing. Starring in the film are Neil Nitin Mukesh , Tina Desai, Govind Namdev and Manish Vatsalya with screenplay by Saurabh Choudhary.
The film is revolves around the unstable political state as the backdrop of the story. Aditi(Tina Desai) is wife of Rudra(Neil Nitin Mukesh)and is his senior in the police force. While he believes in bending rules, she is stickler for rules and goes by the book. With his attitude of bending them he is often shunted from one posting to another. Both of them are assigned to solve a case of alleged multiple suicide that involved four girls. They discover the corrupt Chief Minister of the state Yadav (Govind Namdev) and his associate Shankar (Manish Vatsalya) a goon has hand in this gruesome suicide cases and the couple goes through a political pressure to silence their findings and when that doesn’t work the politician uses his power and resorts to violence against them. Rudra left with no choice has to take matters in his hands and break rules in order to get justice.
More of a detective film with murder mystery the film is a typical stereotype film with netas and common man.
