Ghanshyam is a loyal and honest employee. He lives a middle class life with his wife, two sons and a daughter who is blind. Joseph is a conniving man who takes advantage of Ghanshyam’s innocence and frames him for a murder the former committed. Not knowing how to defend himself and prove his innocence, Ghshyam is forced to flee town leaving his wife and children to fend for himself. He is now forced to work for Joseph is the printing of fake money. Ghanshyam’s elder son Ravi, is a burglar by night and a rich respectable man by day. His younger son is a police inspector and his wife and daughter are homeless. When Joseph comes to know that Ravi is his son, he starts planning their destruction. The film is directed by Moham Saigal and produced by A Shah, D Mehta, Jawaharlal Bafna and Vasant Desai. The music is composed by R D Burman. The star cast includes Vinod Khanna, Raj Babbar, Amjad Khan, Deven Verma, Zeenat, Sarika, Birbal, Ramesh Deo, Shreeram Lagoo, Mac Mohan, Yunus Parvez, Om Shiv Puri, Chand Usmani, Sarla Yogelkar and Seema Deo.
