The story of the film revolves around the evils of society like poverty, illiteracy and natural calamities. It documents the life of a couple who lose their home in a flood and are forced to live on the streets with hundreds of others. Meanwhile the wife gives birth to a baby that turns out to be deformed. The village Pundit call the baby ‘child of the devil’ and ask the couple to abandon the child and leave the village as soon as possible. The journey forward will be even more heart breaking for the couple.
The film is directed by Utplendu Chakravorty and is produced by NFDC. The music is composed by Utplendu Chakravorty and the cinematography is by Soumendu Roy. The star cast includes Om Shivpuri, Smita Patil, Sadhu Meher and Rohini Hattangadi.
