Akhtar abd Javed are close friends but come from different backgrounds. Javed comes from a humble household while Akhtar is from a wealthy family. Both friends unfortunately fall in love with the same girl named Firdous. Her father however chooses Akhtar, as he is from a rich family. When Akhtar comes to know about Javed’s love, he has a plan and goes ahead to marry Firdous. Soon he divorces her by saying the word ‘Talq’ three times. Now Javed is free to marry her. However when Javed himself comes to know that she is Akhtar’s dream woman, he is devastated but is not sure about divorcing her. The film is directed by H S Rawail and produced by Prasan Kapoor. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The story is written by Ruhi Rawail and Rahul Rawail. The star cast includes Jeetendra, Rishi Kapoor, Deven Verma, Shreeram Lagoo, Tina Munim, Rekha, Urmila Bhat, Nirupa Roy, Reena Roy and Jagdish Raj.
