Raja, played by Anil Kapoor is a small time crook who sells railways tickets in the black market. He however wants to make more money and along with his friend Gafoor and a corrupt inspector loots Rs. 2.5 million from the railway treasury. They then escape with the stolen amount to Bombay. He happens to meet Neha, who is a psychiatrist. He falls in love with her and pretends to be a U.S returned man called Raj Kumar. One day a patient named Bunnu, who is from an affluent family, comes to Neha for treatment. He too falls in love with her.
Soon Bunnu learns that Raja is his rival and is in love with Neha too. Neha however has a soft corner for Bunnu. She then leaves for Ooty for her uncle’s wedding. They both chase her there. Soon Neha goes to court with a garland and a gold ring in her hand and invites both Bunnu and Raja. To their surprise she doesn’t wed any of them, but gets married to Prem, who she is in love with. Heartbroken Bunnu and Raja are the witnesses to her marriage and leave the court hand in hand.
The movie is directed by David Dhawan and produced by Ketan Desai. The star cast includes Govinda, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Johnny Lever, Kader Khan, Saeed Jaffrey, Avtar Gill, Shakti Kapoor, Satish Kaushik, Tiku Talsania, Shiva, Shashi Kiran, Salman Khan, Reema Lagoo, Upasana Singh, Himani Shivpuri, Guddi Maruti and Pratibha Sinha.
