Anjali, played by Shilpa Shetty is born in a wealthy and illustrious family. She however falls in love with Dev, played by Suniel Shetty, who is from a poor background and from a lower status than Anjali’s. Her family meets him and comes to know of his background and immediately rejects him and opposes their daughter from having to do anything with him anymore. Anjali’s family then forcibly gets her married to Ram, played by Akshay Kumar, who is from a rich family like theirs. She does not love Ram and keeps a distance from him, which Ram senses and respects their boundaries.
Soon Ram and Anjali warm up wo each other and fall in love. She realizes that Ram’s family doesn’t treat him right and makes him realize this. Meanwhile Dev cannot get over Anjali and tries to get her back in his life. The movie is directed by Dharmesh Darshan and produced by Ratan Jain. The star cast includes Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Shilpa Shetty, Mahima Chaudhry, Kiran Kumar, Manjeet Kular, Neeraj Vora, Kader Khan, Sharmila Tagore, Sushma Sethim, Nilofer, Anjana Mumtaz and Naseem Mukri. The music is composed by Nadeem Sharvan. The cinematography is by W B Rao.
