Jagira is a dreaded dacoit who has been terrorizing the village people for the longest time. He kills Gopal parents and he is left an orphan only to be taken of by Durga. She along with her son Birju takes care of Gopal. Soon Birju and Gopal have grown up to be courageous and strong men. Meanwhile another gang of dacoits headed by SohnKanwar is terrorizing the village. Just when she is about to kill Birju, she learns that he is Durga’s son, another notorious dacoit’s wife, and thus spares his life. Soon they are hostile towards Birju and his mother and the duo are forced to leave the village. Gopal is a turn of events disowns them and becomes a police inspector, while Birju is forced to become a dacoit. There is now a reward for bringing in Birju dead or alive.
The film is directed by N D Kothari and produced by Mewar Films Int. The music is composed by Kalyanji Anandji. The story is written by Bharat B Bhalla and the screenplay is written by Zafar Ehsaan. The star cast includes Vinod Khanna, Amrita Singh, Amrish Puri,Asrani,Dara Singh,Sanjeevi,Jack Gaud,Jankidas,Sudhir Dalvi, Sahila Chadda, Rohini Hattangadi and Sreepradha.
