“Dhruva Natchathiram” is an upcoming Tamil action thriller film by Gautham Vasudev Menon, which stars Vikram in the main role. The movie will also have Ritu Varma, R. Parthiban, Radhika Sarathkumar, Simran, and Vinayakan playing supporting roles. It is set within the same universe as “Joshua: Imai Pol Kaakha” (2024) and takes the story of an elite squad of clandestine operatives called The Basement, who quietly eliminate terror groups without the restraints of the law.
“John”, a New York legend undercover investigator, is given a perilous assignment when The Basement leader goes missing under unknown circumstances. They follow their missing leader on a fatal path as they take a journey to a world filled with deception, lies, and lethal enemies. They get caught up in a conspiracy as they try to learn more, endangering their own lives. With time running out, John must rely on his talent and instincts to outsmart their enemies and get the job done.
Full of high-octane action, sleek camerawork, and Menon's trademark narrative, Dhruva Natchathiram is set to be a riveting spy thriller. Yet, while its grand aspirations and cast of stars are promising, the movie has been caught in financial and legal issues, leading to quite a delay. Although rumors point to a May 2025 release, an official announcement is yet to come. Vikram fans and those of Gautham Menon wait patiently for the film's eventual big-screen debut.
