Nikhil, played by Shahid Kapoor lives in the small town of Samarpur with his mother. He is dating Neha, played by Soha Ali Khan who is ambitious and is not happy that Nikhil doesn’t have a steady job. She leaves for Mumbai to pursue her dreams of becoming a flight attendant. He follows her there and request her to return but she has made up her mind to stay in Mumbai. Meanwhile he meets Shagun, played by Ayesha Takia, who dislikes him. He coincidentally lives above her house and they have constant fights. He begins to like her. Meanwhile he still pursues Neha and she rejects him.

He finally gets a job at a music store opposite Neha’s training center. There he meets a co-worker called Sarah, played by Tulip Joshi who starts to like him. Before her first flight as an attendant, Neha breaks up with Nikhil and he is heart broken. He decides to return to Samarpur and Sarah joins him. She seems to love the place and her mother also likes her. Nikhil decides to confess his love to her when she decides to leave the town to return to Mumbai. She promises to call him soon, but she never calls. Turns out that she never loved him, she only did this to make her boyfriend jealous.

Later he comes to know that Shagun is actually in love with him but isn’t sure if this too is a hoax and plans to leave Mumbai. Meanwhile Neha returns to him and apologizes but he rejects her and decides to be with Shagun. The movie is directed by Anant Mahadevan and produced by Nikhil Panchamiya. The music is composed by Himesh Reshamiya and Vikey Goswami.
