Raj, played by Shahrukh Khan and Veer, played by Varun Dhawan are brothers who run a car repairing shop. One day Raj fights off a druglord from selling drugs and destroys their stash. The druglord named King, impressed, asks Raj and Veer to repair all his cars in return for protection. Meanwhile Veery meets a girl Ishita, played by Kriti Sanon and falls for her.
Raj on the other hand accidentally hurts a girl Meera, played by Kajol, by his car. When the rival gang members attack Raj she tells him that she is the daughter of the gangs leader Dev Mallik, played by Kabir Bedi and Raj tells her they are sons of businessman Randhir Bakshi, played by Vinod Khanna. Later Raj and Meera fall in love and decide to tell their parents. Mallik invites Bakshi to meet him but secretly plans to kill him. They arrive and a shootout ensues where Mallik gets killed and Meera leaves never to see Raj again assuming he is the one who killed her father.
Later in Goa, it is revealed to Meera by Mallik’s henchman that Raj did not kill Mallik but it was his father who shot in his defence. Meera forgives Raj and they unite while Veer and Ishita, who is Meera’s younger sister, also unite. The movie is directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Gauri Khan and Rohit Shetty. The music is composed by Pritam Chakraborty.
