Mr Oswal lives a wealthy lifestyle with his wife and two sons Jayant and Ajay. Jayant is in love with Chandra but his father warns him that he must marry the girl of his choice. After some convincing, Jayant agrees. This upsets Ajay as he too is in love with a girl named Seema and would like to marry her. Not willing to change his mind, Ajay elopes with his girlfriend and marries her. He then gets a job as a taxi-driver and Seema works as a nurse. One day Ajay sees Seema with another man, thinking she is cheating on him, and decides to divorce her and joins the army.
Meanwhile Mr. Oswal is unhappy with the girl he chose for his elder son. However it is still a mystery who the man with Seema was. The film is directed by N D Kothari and produced by Mewar Films. The music is composed by Usha Khanna. The star cast includes Sharmila Tagore, Jasmine, Girish Karnad and Vijayendra Ghatge.
