Both fall in love and much against the wishes of her dominating rich mother, they get married.  Soon after their marriage their misunderstandings start due to him being ‘Ghar Jamai and lives with her and her parents. Om Prakash is her father who is a soft hearted , nice human being with no say in the house.  The couple get twin girls whom they name as Ganga and Jamuna.    Soon he relizes that he has no respect in that house and is being treated like a servant by his mother-in-law. He rebels and asks Mala to leave the house with him and their twin girls. She however is under her mother’s control and her pressures.  He walks out alone with one of the twins to live separately.

The twins grow up and both land up in the same school and during their school outing, they are put together in one room when they realise they are twin sisters. They both decide to bring their estranged parents together and exchange places. The twins decide on a scheme that bring their haughty proud grandmother on her knees and accept their father with respect and bring peace within the family to bring their parents together as one. The story ends with the couple uniting and the four of them live happily ever after.  A family film with humour, emotions, bonding and romance.
