Arun is a qualified professional living in Canada. He marries
the traditional Indian Shobha. After a few years of blissful
marriage the couple have two children Raju and Pinky. Soon
Shobha realizes she is not cut out to be an NRI and cannot
adapt to this fast lifestyle, thus she decides to leave for her
home country with her son. She also suspects Arun of having
an affair. He is now left with Pinky. Years later Pinky is
kidnapped by a gangsters mole called Tony who eventually
falls in love with her. Arun looks frantically for his daughter
and contacts Shobha. Soon she arrives with her son Raju but he
has no idea that Arun is his father.
Meanwhile Tony’s boss comes to know that he is getting close
to Pinky and wants to get rid of her. Tony thus kills him and
runs off with Pinky. When Raju and his father try and fight off
the henchmen, Tony gets shot and dies but before dying Pinky
confesses her love. The family then re-unites. The film is
directed by Ambrish Sangal and produced by Jagdish Bahroos
and Shamin Ahmed. The music is composed by Usha Khanna
and the story is written by Suraj Sanim. The star cast includes
Shashi Kapoor, Raj Babbar, Sharmila Tagore, Parveen Babi,
Nadeem, David and Babita.
