Doordarshan is a comedy about a family where everyone from Sunil to his wife Priya are living in their own world and want to get a divorce due to their incompatibility. The world around them is a total chaos but the only thing or person that lies peacefully is their grandmother who has been lying in a coma for the last 30 years. Then suddenly something happens that the family never ever expected. The Biji (grandmother) wakes
up from her comatose condition. The doctor however advices the family that she is still stuck 30 years back when the technology was hardly there and things weren’t so modern. Thus the family has to recreate almost everything around Biji just like it was 30 years back. They even recreate the age old Doordarshan news with one of the neighbors narrating the news.
The film is written and directed by Gagan Puri and produced by Ritu Arya. The star cast includes Mahie Gill, Dolly Ahluwalia, Manu Rishi Chadha, Rajesh Sharma, Supriya Shukla, Sumit
Gulati, Aditya Kumar and Shardul Rana.
