Karan Thapar, played by Bobby Deol was born with a silver spoon and has had all the comforts and luxuries in the world at his feet. Even though he lives with his mother, father and sister, he is a lonely man as all have their own agenda and no one gives him any importance. He lives a very secluded life among his family members. One day when he is about to fall to his near death at his farm house, a man named Raj, played by Akshay Kumar saves him. Raj and Karan end up becoming very close friends. Raj being an orphan, lives with his maternal uncle who is abusive to him.

 

Over time Karan and Raj end up becoming great inseparable friends. Karan even requests Raj to come and stay with him at his house. This really bothers and angers Karan’s family who don’t think much of Raj. Karan falls in love with Kajal, played by Lara Dutta, while Raj wants to marry his childhood sweetheart Anjali, played by Kareena Kapoor. They both plan their weddings to their respective lovers and decide to get married on the same day. However a girl Leena, with who Raj had formerly flirted, expose both the friends as flirts. Raj dies of a fatal disease. Karan and Kajal get married and have child, naming him Raj.

 

The movie is directed and produced by Suneel Darshan. The music is composed by Nadeem-Shravan.
