Dr. Vidya is an Emotional-Romantic Family Drama Film crafted with excellence by Rajendra Bhatia. The Story revolves around the life of Geeta (played by Vyjayanthimala)- A Sweet and Educated girl living with her family and wanted to study more and always refuses to marry. However, her parents arranged her marriage with Ratan (played by Manoj Kumar)- A Kind-Hearted man- the son of a Landlord- who believes- an educated girl can't get settled in a joint family and he disowns her just on the wedding day, leaving her heartbroken. However, she went to become a Doctor and named herself- Dr.Vidya, and returns to the village to clear the orthodox thinking of them. Things get complicated- when Ratan- who never seen Geeta fell in love after meeting Dr. Vidya, leading to consequences.
