Durgaa is a soft spoken and mild mannered girl, who is also very beautiful. Many men in her life exploit her in different ways. Finally when she meets a man named Sunil, she thinks that this is true love and marries him. Little does she know that he has married her only for his lust. Soon she discovers that he is also sleeping with other women. On being confronted he accuses her of a murder he committed and puts the tag of a prostitute to her. A devastated and distressed Durga meets Jagannath who decides to help her and introduces her to advocate Mohan
Babu who fights her case. Durga then realizes that she has only been taken advantage of and none of the men in her life except Mohan babu are what they appear to be. She begins to take revenge from each one of them and in the end marries Mohan Babu. The film is directed by Shibu Mitra and is produced by S K Kapoor. The music is composed by Sonik Omi. The star cast includes Ashok Kumar, Hema Malini, Pran, Raj Babbar, Rajesh Khanna and Aruna Irani.
