In a peaceful and religious town the superintendent of police is tending to his job one day when he comes across a crying baby on the footsteps of Maa Durga’s temple. He is heartbroken to see that’s he has been abandoned and brings her home. His wife Shanta is against this decision but he is relentless and brings up the girl as his own with a lot of love and affection. He names her Parvati. Soon the girl becomes big and falls in love with a local newspaper deliver boy. When her father comes to know of this he is happy for them and arranges for them to get married.
The officer arranges a small hutment for his daughter to stay with her husband. Soon Parvati gives birth to a baby girl and names her Durga. A local greedy moneylender has his eyes on Durga for a sacrifice he wants to make to Harihar Swami. The film is directed by K S Reddy and produced by P Bhagyam. The music is composed by Ravindra Jain. The star cast includes Sachin, Om Shivpuri, Sadhana Singh, Pooja, Raza Murad, Pardeep Kumar, Paintal, Raj Kiran, Madhu Malhotra, Beena and Shubha Khote.
