Dus Kahaniyaan, as the name suggests is a compilation of 10 different stories, which are unrelated and have no connection with each other but part of one movie. The first story is called Matrimony, where the husband and wife realize that they are both cheating on each other. The second story is ‘High on the Highway’, where a boy feels responsible for his girlfriend being abused and kills himself. The third story is Pooranmasi, where a mother fulfills her desire by meeting her lover but the villagers think it was her daughter with her lover. Her marriage gets called off but she cannot say the truth thus commits sucide.
The fourth story is Strangers in the night, where the wife remembers a time she saved a child’s life buy what looked like a night of love and passion with a man. The fifth story is Zahir, where a man rapes a girl who is his neighbor but later resents after he learns she has AIDS. The sixth story is Lovedale, where a lady who gives a girl a earring on the train is said to be already dead 10 years ago. The seventh story is Sex on the Beach, where a man is chased by a ghost who later kills him. The eighth story is Rice plate, where a lady who detests a Muslim man, later accidentally starts eating his food thinking it is hers.
The ninth story is Gubbare, where a man gives balloons to his dead wife on her grave. The tenth story is Rise and Fall, where two children grow up to become dons. The films are directed by Sanjay Gupta, Hansal Mehta, Meghna Gulzar, Sanjay Gupta, Jasmeet Dhodi, Apoorva Lakhia, Rohit Roy, and Sanjay Gupta respectively.
