Shankar, played by Manoj Bajpayee works as a goldsmith in Sonapur. He is in love with Sonu, played by Aarti Chabria who loves him too but her parents are against their union. They call a Pandit to find a rich boy from Dubai. The pandit being a good friend of Shankar’s asks Sonu if she would like to marry Shankar and she tells him that he has to make a 10 tola going necklace for her so her father willingly gives her hand to him. But instead her father asks Sonu to accept the necklace as a gift from a brother. He later shows off the necklace and tells the villagers that he himself gave it to his daughter.
Infuriated at her father’s antics, Shakar tells Sonu to confess her love for him. She refuses and marries a rich man called Ravi from Dubai and has a child with him. A devastated Shankar moves on with his life and later opens a shop called Shankar and Sons. He start giving money to people in need. Ravi later returns back from Dubai saying he was in Jail. He goes to sell the gold necklace that Shankar gave Sonu but Shankar checks the gold and says it’s fake.
Shankar confesses his mistake and says that he would have given Sonu a real gold necklace after their marriage. He then apologizes to Sonu and leaves. The movie is directed by Ajoy Verma and produced by Luciano Tola, Tola Sinatra and Elvis Tola. The music is composed by Sandesh Shandilya.
