Surjan Singh is a dreaded dacoit and has commited several crimes. He finally gets nabbed by the police who have been looking for him since a long time. His wife is devastated with the news and commits suicide, leaving their only daughter Ranjana to fend for herself. She is then adopted by a catholic priest who feels sorry for her and raises her as his own child.
Soon Surjan Singh ahs completed his sentence and is released. He is now desperately looking for his daughter to reconcile
broken ties with her. The film is directed by Kalidas and produced by Sundeep Kumar. The music is composed by Rajesh Roshan. The star cast includes Ashok Kumar, Suresh Oberoi, Shakti Kapoor, Bharat Kapoor, Amjad Khan and Kalpana Iyer.
