Upendranath is a widower who lives a wealthy lifestyle with his son Sandeep. The latter is a stubborn man who disagrees with most of his father’s principles. He thus decides to leave his house and make a life of his own. One day he meets the smart and beautiful Bhairavi, who is older to him. They both fall in love and soon plan to marry. However a man named Avinash one day shows up and tells Sandeep that he is Bhairavi’s husband and they also have a daughter named Kajri together. Things get more complicated when the truth about Kajri is revealed.
The film is directed by K Balachander and produced by Subha Rao. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The star cast includes Raaj Kumar, Kamal Hasan, Hema Malini, Padmini Kolhapure, Mehmood, Suresh Oberoi and Asha Sachdev.
