Bobo, played by Emraan Hashmi is a successful magician and has become a star in his fraternity. He is dating Tamara who is very supportive. However, visions of his dead younger sister, Misha have disturbed him for a while. He even sees her body in a jar at his old house but turns out its actually a doll inside. He goes to see a psychiatrist Dr. Palit who hypnotizes him to age 11 and Misha is 6. He sees a flashback where Bobo, Misha and their father is plagued by the presence of a witch in their life. The apartment they live in has a secret room for all the bad people as per Bobo, who is heavily influenced by reading books on witchcraft.
He feels a lady from the building Diana, played by Konkana Sen Sharma is a witch and following them. Indeed she gets close to the family and marries Bobo’s father and one day sacrifices Misha to gain her witch power. Bobo who has read in his witch craft book about the witch’s power being in her plait, cuts it off and Diana falls to the floor, promising to return back for Bobo.
Later Bobo marries Tamara and they adopt 10 year boy Zubin. They later meet a beautiful girl Lisa, played by Kalki Koechlin and Bobo thinks Diana is back but dismisses it. Later he learns that Tamara is the real witch and not Lisa.
Meanwhile Zubin goes missing and Bobo finds him under the building tied to a table ready to be sacrificed. Diana comes and tells him that is the Pishacha and can fight her. He attacks her but later it is revealed that only the innocent can kill her thus Bobo cannot destroy her. Bobo cuts off her plait and she promises to be back again to kill him. The movie is directed by Kannan Iyer and produced by Ekta & Shobha Kapoor, Vishal & Rekha Bhardwaj. The music is composed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
