Purushottam, played by Anupam Kher works at the BMC as a Malaria worker. He is a simple, honest and hardworking man. He has dedicated more than half his life in his job and sacrificed much more. His children however, are nowhere close to match his standard of commitment and persistence. He has two sons Shekhar, played by Manu Rishi Chadha and Subhash, played by Divyendu Sharma. Purushottam is particularly irked by Subhash, as he works for a corrupt minister.
While almost retiring from his job Purushottam’s life takes a unruly turn when all his hard work and dedication is turned into nothing, stripping him of his pride, honor, dignity and pension money which he should have rightly got. Stressed and ailing health makes him bed ridden and he asks one last wish to be fulfilled by his sons that he would want 21 gun salute after he dies. Shocked at this strange wish, his sons Subhash and Shekhar strive their best to earn back his fathers pride and honor while making sure his wish is fulfilled no matter what.
Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami is directed by Ravindra Gautam and produced by Anurradha Prasad Shukla and Abhinav Shukla. The movie is written by Rahil Qaazi and the music is composed by Ram Sampath.
