The movie showcases the hypocrisy and lack of reality check when it comes to parents of the middle class. They let their children get into all kinds of illegal activities having no knowledge where they roam about and with whom they have collaboration with. Only when the child gets into serious trouble or gets killed they mourn and regret everything. An honest and tough inspector, played by Nasseruddin Shah who has always abided by the law and worked with his protocols happens to commit a grave mistake. He kills a young boy named Lallya in a police encounter. He has no idea where his parents are but needs to find them asap. He embarks on a journey to find them before things get out of hand.
The movie is directed by Ajay Phansekar and produced by Jairaj Patil and Shyam Shroff. The music is composed by Amar Mohile. The cinematography is by B. Laxman. The star cast includes Naseeruddin Shah, Rahul Mahendale, Dilip Prabhawalkar, Akash Khurana, Avtar Gill, Sanjeev Dhabolkar, Suman Mastkar, Roshan Tirandaz, Deepak Shirke, Rajan Bane, Jaywant Wadkar, Brijesh Tripathi, Ratna Pathak Shah, Tara Deshpande and Medha Gokhale.
