Movie director Rana, played by Nana Patekar is busy shooting for his film, when he feels he isn’t happy with his film heroine. He decides to change her and replaces her with a girl called Trishna, played by Rukmini Vijayakumar. He however doesn’t disclose the name of his film’s heroine or hero to the media and even doesn’t attend the press meet. They learn that he is having an affair with the actress and start to chase him. Trishna dies in what is made to look like an accident.
Inspector Vivek starts to investigate the case and comes to know that there are 2 more murder suspicions on Rana. HE is arrested by Vivek and brought in for questioning. He then confesses about his affair with Trishna and how he first met her. Trishna was a dancer in small shows and temples in Andhra Pradesh. Rana thinks she will be the perfect muse but many lust after her. Especially one village chief who behaves in a annoying way. After a few days the chief is found dead and Rana is blamed for it.
Later a financers son also tries to woo Trishna and he too is found dead. Again Vivek accuses Rana of the murder but he neither denies now accepts the blame. Later it is revealed that all the evidence found is all fake and just used in his film. It is later revealed that Trishna is actually a boy named Babu, who was raised as a girl. When the village chief found out his real gender he asked him to still sleep with him to avoid going public so he killed him. The financer’s son lied that he had taken a picture of Babu while bathing and in insecurity he killed him too. Vivek later pardons the boy and calls Rana a great human being.
The movie is directed by Bharathiraj and produced by Pandiyan and Dr. Raj T Rajan. The music is composed by Himesh Reshammiya.
