Sometimes it’s best to let bygones be bygones and give happiness a chance in your life. Blaming your own self over and over again about something that has happened long back will not help the healing process of the heart and only make things more complicated. This is the central idea of the film Fireflies. Its better to confront the problem head on once and for all and just get done with in, rather than hiding it under a carpet and hoping it’ll go away on its own.
Shiv, played by Rahul Khanna and Rana, played by Arjun Mathur are brothers who have had a turbulent past and thus moved on with their lives separately. Shiv marries his girlfriend Maya, played by Aadya Bedi and Rana is in a relationship with Michelle, played by Monica Dogra. Their lives are seemingly settled but they have a longing that never goes away. The wounds of the past keep showing up on Shiv and Rana, even as they are trying to live a normal and blissful life.
Fireflies is written, directed and produced by Sabal Singh Sheikhawat. The music is composed by Zubin Balaporia and the cinematography is by Shanker Raman.
