Kabir, played by Anupam Kher is a billionaire who invites four people who are unknown to each other at his island house due to their connection with his late daughter Maya. Ramsay, played by Boman Irani had trafficked the little girl, Neil, played by Abhishek Bachchan had introduced her into the world of crime, Vikram, played by Jimmy Shergill accidentally hits her with his car and buries her alive. Also invited is Tisha, who is supposedly Maya’s fraternal twin and a crime reporter. Kabir warns the three that he has enough evidence against them and the International Vigilance Squad (IVS) will take them away. However one day they find Kabir dead in his room with a gun in his hand, which seems like a suicide.
Later the IVS leader Sia, played by Kangana Ranaut arrive on the island and seeing that there is no evidence against the 4 people she lets them go but watches them closely. She learns that Neil was in love with Maya and she was pregnant with his baby. He takes revenge on Ramsay and Vikram for what happened to her by making them confess publicly. Vikram commits suicide and Ramsay dies of a heart attack.
Later it is revealed that Neil was an ex-cop and he decides to help Sia to solve the murder. They learn that Kabir has a twin brother Iqbal and Samara is his daughter who also tries to attack and kill Tisha. Meanwhile Iqbal tries to kill Sia and Neil but Iqbal gets killed instead and Samara is arrested. The movie is directed by Abhinay Deo and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The music is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
