Ganga, played by Nagma is a well read and educated girl, but lives a poor and sorry lifestyle in the village. One day when she gets attacked and molested by some men, when Shankar, played by Ravi Kishen comes to her rescue, and in the process gets injured and handicapped. Ganga is in love with Thakur Vijay’s son Ranjit, played by Ajay Sharma. Vijay is impressed by Ganga’s dedication and agrees to arrange their marriage. Shankar too is in love with Ganga and goes to her parents to ask for her hand in marriage. But her parents humiliate them and refuse to let their daughter marry a crippled man.
On the wedding day Ranjit accuses Ganga of having an affair and refuses to marry her. Shankar again comes to her rescue and convinces Ranjit to marry her and he agrees. This time, Ganga refuses and marries Shankar. Little does she know that her life is going to be turned up side down from then on. The movie is directed by Abhishek Chhadha and produced by Deepak Sawant.
