Shankar is in dire straights and thus is forced to steal from a school teacher. This takes a drastic on events and the teacher’s son dies accidentally. He is then arrested and sent to prison where Shankar repents on all the events and feels guilty for killing the teacher’s son. When Shankar is released from jail, he is a changed man. When he reaches his village he comes to know that a local goon named Jai Singh is terrorizing his village and decides to put an end to his rein once and for all. Shankar takes the oat of the holy water of the river Ganga to free the villagers of the terror of Jai Singh.
The movie is directed by T L V Prasad and produced by Sunil Bohra. The star cast includes Mithun Chakraborty, Jackie Shroff, Dipti Bhatnagar, Dalip Tahil, Raza Murad, Mukesh Rishi, Shakti Kapoor, Rami Reddy, Razzak Khan, Shiva, Jack Gaud, Ali Khan, Qasim Khan, Mink and Johnny Lever. The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri. The cinematography is by Ramakrishnan.
