The movie is directed by Manmohan Desai, produced by S. Ramanathan, stars Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Prada, Meenakshi Seshadri, Mithun Chakraborty, Nirupa Roy and Amrish Puri. Released on 23rd December 1988.
Bharat Devi (Nirupa Roy) & Thakur Hansraj are siblings and he kills his brother in law to fulfil his greed, gets his sister to sign on all the documents to make it into his name. Their son Ganga (Amitabh Bachchan) swears that he will take revenge on his uncle someday for the wrong done to his family.
Ganga becomes a truck driver, Jamuna (Meenakshi Seshadri) jumps into his truck to escape from the goons. It starts raining so he has to stop in front of the motel, but it says that you can get to stay only if you are married. Suddenly he sees Jamuna in his truck, the goons come in search of her, Ganga fights them. He is arrested for beating up the Thakur’s son, is jailed for two years. When he is released the thakur sends his people to kill him.
A blast takes place, Jamuna and Ganga fall into the ice, she loses her memory, finds herself in Shankar’s (Mithun Chakraborty) house, falls in love with her. From nowhere appears Saraswathi (Jaya Prada) on screen who falls in love with Ganga. In the end it is to be seen how Ganga takes revenge.
