Genius is an action thriller film directed by Anil Sharma which marks the debut of his son Utkarsh Sharma in the pivotal role. The film also has a star cast of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mithun Chakraborty in supporting roles.
Genius is about, Vasudev Shastri (essayed by Utkarsh Sharma) , a topper and a charming young man who comes in the second rank in the IIT. Vasudev is an orphan lad and his parents were killed in communal riots when he was very young He was raised by a temple priest in Mathura.
Nandini(Ishita Chauhan) for some reason decides to make his life miserable. But Vaudev is smart enough and he falls in love with her. Besides being a topper in the campus, he also holds a job in RAW(Research and Analysis Wing) where he uses his hacking talents. .
The story goes back in flashback and to the current scenario. The film is about his love for his country and how he ends up in a special force to protect the nation and during his mission. Nawazzuddin Siddiqui serves as biggest hurdle in his plan of action but the good triumphs always.
