Sanju, played by Emraan Hashmi is a laid back fellow, but is also an expert in cracking master safes. He is happily married to his loud-mouthed Punjabi wife Neetu, played by Vidya Balan. Two criminals Pandit and idris, hear of his expertise and approach him for robbing a bank and the resulting money will be enough for them for generations to come. Hearing the tempting deal, Sanju agrees and together they steal Rs 35 crores.
Since Pandit and Idris have a criminal record they decide to keep the stolen money with Sanju and equally distribute it after a couple of months. But fatefully Sanju has an accident where he loses his memory and suffers from retrograde amnesia. Pandit and Idris keep a close eye on him and wait till he remembers about the money. One day Sanju hears of his old friend Uttam becoming an overnight millionaire and he suspects him and also his wife who he feels has some knowledge of the money.
Later Uttam moves to London and Pandit along with Idris kidnap Neetu and force Sanju to give the money. Sanju still claims he doesn’t remember and in rage Pandit injures Neetu while a third person shoots Pandit and Idris. Meanwhile this unknown person asks for the money and in rage tries to kill Sanju before a unknown caller calls Sanju and revels the location of the suitcase and Sanju who has really lost his memory has no idea what’s happening.
The movie is directed by Rajkumar Gupta and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur. The music is composed by Amit Trivedi.
