Prakash is the eldest son among 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He lives with his father Satya Narain, mother and grandmother. Being educated he is still unable to get a decent job. Meanwhile his younger brother Chandan mixes with the wrong group and is the outlaw of the family. Satya takes a loan to marry off his eldest daughter but his son-in-law takes it away claiming it to be the remainder of his dowry money. Satya goes into shock and dies of a heart attack. Prakash is now the sole bread earner of the family. His eldest sister runs away in shame and guilt but he does everything to bring her back home.

Meanwhile Chandan is out to destroy his own home and Prakash does everything in his capacity to stop him. When however, Chandan’s own friends betray him and try to kill him for money, it is non other than Prakash who saves his life and this opens his eyes to his family’s love for him. The film is directed by K Bapaiah and produced by Vimal Kumar. The Music is composed by Rajesh Roshan and the screenplay is written by Gyandev Agnihotri. The star cast includes Jeetendra, Sridevi, Kader Khan, Shreeram Lagu, Ranjeet, Gulshan Grover, Bharat Bhushan, Kajal Kiran, Ravi Baswani, Shakti Kapoor, Lalita Pawar, Sulochana and Aruna Irani.
