Arun, played by Anil Kapoor is happily married to Kajal, played by Raveena Tandon. They both try to conceive a child for many years but are unsuccessful. After some tests the doctor informs them that Arun has a problem and will never be able to bare children. In fact it is Kajal who has a problem but to save her from embarrassment, the doctor says it is the other way round. Arun’s father urges him to re-marry but he refuses as he loves Kajal. One day when Arun visits Nepal with his friend Jumbo, he meets a girl called Manisha. Little does Arun know that his friend has made Arun the groom at the wedding taking place. Soon Arun and Manisha are married. This shocks Arun but having left with no choice he comes back to his home in India. He keeps in touch with Manisha, who now learns to speak in Hindi.
Very soon Arun has a child with Manisha unknown to Kajal or his father. His father urges Arun to adopt a child since they cannot conceive and he does just that. He adopts the child he has with Manisha and keeps her as a house help. When the truth about Manisha and the child is known to Kajal, she is heartbroken. Arun tells her to accept her and they all live together happily. The movie is directed by David Dhawan and produced by Tutu Sharma. The star cast includes Rambha, Kader Khan, Satish Kaushik, Tiku Talsania, Rakesh Bedi, Master Shahrukh and Dina Pathak.
