Ajay, played by Sunny Deol goes into flashback where he shoots Balwant Rai for murdering his brother. He is arrested for it and does his time in jail. One his return he starts working as a reporter and also assists the police in high profile crime cases. One such case is of a reporter Renu, who was drugged and raped by her boss Rajguru. She commits suicide and Rajguru’s men try to cover it up. Ajay gets Rajguru’s DNA swab and gets him arrested. Ajay keeps having nightmares about his brother’s murder and his girlfriend Riya, played by Soha Ali Khan who’s a physiatrist helps him deal with.
Joe D’Souza, a cop who arrested Ajay has become his friend now and he assists Joe from time to time. He gets killed in what is made to look like a car accident but in truth he killed by a businessman Bhansal’s son Kabir who was bickering about a land deal. Another girl Zoya, records the murder in her camera and her friend Anushka reports it to Ajay. Mean while Bhansal’s men chase the girls for the camera.
Later Ajay learns that Anushka is actually his daughter. A brutal fight between him and Bansal’s men breaks out where Ajay is trying to protect his daughter and ends up also saving Bansal’s daughter. The business man gets arrested and Ajay and his daughter Anushka recover in the hospital for their injuries.
