Gippi, played by Riya Vij is an overweight and socially awkward 14 year old. She has a tough time dealing with her mother and her brother as well as the world outside that mostly bully her. She is especially the target of the most popular girl Shamira in school. She tries to avoid social and family gatherings as much as possible ever since she has become a part of a broken family, where her father is remarrying another woman.
Gippi meets an older attractive boy at this wedding and falls madly in love with him. That love somehow doesn’t sustain and she is humiliated for it. She decides that enough is enough and she will do something about her life herself. She takes up Shamira’s challenge and stand against her in the school elections. Whatever the result maybe she makes sure she enjoys herself thoroughly with lots of yummy desserts, making new friends, meeting funny teachers and crushes.
Her life is completely turned around just by the very change in her outlook. She picks herself up and shows the world that an overweight person also has feelings and is just as wonderful and fun loving as anyone else. The movie is directed by Sonam Nair and produced by Karan Johar. The music is composed by Vishal-Shekhar.
