The movie is directed by A. Bhimsingh, produced by T.S. Muthuswam and S.S. Palaniappan starring Dilip Kumar- Saira Banu-Farida Jalal – Om Prakash-Pran and was released on 28 th of August 1970.
Gopi (Dilip Kumar) stays with his elder brother Girdhari (Om Prakash) and younger sister Nandini (Farida Jalal) in a village. Girdhari saves money with Lala (Pran) for Nandini’s marriage, when he goes to get his money back, the wicked Lala refuses so Gopi has to forcibly take it from him. Gopi is accused of theft so he leaves the village and promises himself that he shall return when he has enough money. Gopi has no skills, how will he survive?
This is a remake of a Kannada movie Chinnada Gombe (1964).
