Shankar is an honest and hard working bank employee. He lives with his wife, daughters Sudha, Gudiya and son Rakesh. Sudha meanwhile falls in love with a pilot named Deepak and their wedding date is fixed. However, just before the wedding could take place, Shankar confesses to stealing rs. 10,000 from his bank and is arrested and sent to 3 years in jail. His family is devastated at this but is left to fend for themselves. His kind neighbor Karim, helps them out but the resources are not enough. Thus Sudha and Rakesh get a job to support the family. Soon Gudiya gets pregnant with her boyfriend Babloo and marries him. Rakesh marries his boss’s daughter. Meanwhile Sudha’s marriage is fixed on the same date that Shankar will be released from prison. Things will take an ugly turn from then on. The film is directed by Prashant Nanda and produced by Girish Desai and Rambhai Patel. The music is composed by Ravindra Jain. The star cast includes Ashok Kumar, Suresh Oberoi, Sachin, Yogita Bali, Surendra Pal, Yasmin Khan and Neelam Mehra.
