Ajay Prasad is a simple and naïve man living a middle class lifestyle in Jaipur with his son and wife. He is a happy go lucky man who lives one day at a time. One day he gets an invitation to attend a wedding in Mumbai and asks his family to join him. They are unable to accompany him, thus he plans to go there alone. He is then given accommodation in a high end flat with A/C. His next door neighbor is a film actress named Chandni. Soon he comes to know that Chandni is single and a very friendly girl. So he starts flirting with her. Soon he is fearful that his wife will come to know about his escapades and leaves quickly for Jaipur.
The movie is directed by Basu Chatterjee and produced by Amit Khanna and Mahesh Bhatt . The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri and the lyrics are written by Yogesh and Amit Khanna. The cinematography is by Ajay Prabhakar and the choreography is by Nimesh Bhatt and Oscar Unger. The star cast includes Jugal Hansraj, Satish Kaushik, Pratibha Sinha, Anupam Kher, Mushtaq Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Deb Mukherjee, Prateeksha Lonkar and Jaya Bhattacharya.
