Ganga and Paro are sisters and close to each other. They are brought up in a poor household but live a respectable and honest life. Ganga is speech impaired from birth and thus has not found a suitable groom due to her disability. Her sister Paro is in love with the village blacksmith named Shankar and wants to marry him. Meanwhile the village money lender and chief Dharamdas has been exploiting the innocent villagers
with his power. He uses the women and girls for his lustful satisfaction and takes advantage of the villagers atrocities. One day he sees Ganga and molests her. He then warns her that if she informs anyone about the incident he will eliminate her entire family. Ganga is traumatized and unable to tell anyone not even her sister about who did this to her. She is now pregnant and in depair. The village Panchayat demands to know who has done this to Ganga. Seeing Dharamdas she is paralyized and horrified. Not seeing any other way, Paro asks Shankar to marry Ganga but he refuses as he loves Paro. The village panchayat then asks the family to leave the village as Ganga is a bad example for the rest of the village women. Shankar hesitantly then agrees to marry Ganga. The film is directed by Dayanand and produced by Kalpana Jhaveri. The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri. The star cast includes Arun Govil, Shakti Kapoor, Ram Sethi and Madhoo Kapoor.
