Preeti, played by Aishwarya Rai witnesses to a crime and testifies against the perpetrators. They don’t take this well and abducts her and a man called Babloo rapes her. She gets ostracized from her family and the locality she stays in. A devastated Preeti has no where to go and is given shelter by a kind hearted and compassionate man named Avinash, played by Anil Kapoor. Soon the two become close and she takes care of his two children and they like her a lot. Preeti starts to fall in love with Avinash but his childhood friend Khushi, played by Sonali Bendre also falls in love with him and tries to win him over, but she soon realizes that he loves Preeti.

 

The society stars to accuse Avinash for keeping an unmarried woman in his house and of their illegitimate relationship. To set things straight, he marries her. The movie is directed by Satish Kaushik and produced by Surinder Kapoor and Boney Kapoor. The music is composed by Sanjeev-Darshan. The cinematography is by Kabir Lal.
