Vishal is brought up in a wealthy Hindu household. Their family is well respected and well known in social circles. His father Chandraprakash is looked up by many. Vishal one day meets a beautiful Catholic girl named Ruby Miranda and they both fall in love. However when Chandraprakash hears of this he is enraged that not only is his son in love with a girl from a different religion, but of a lower stature. Ruby’s father approves of the marriage. Later on things get even more worse and complicated when Chandraprakash learns the ugly truth that Vishal might not even be his real son.
The film is directed by Anwar Pasha and produced by Tahir Husain. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The star cast includes Rishi Kapoor, Farha, Asha Parekh, Amrish Puri, Alok Nath, Kiran Juneja, Om Shivpuri, Reema Lagu and Ila Arun.
