Chander is a happy-go-lucky man, who is about to get married to the love of his life Chandni. He is always late habitually and even on his wedding day, he leaves late. He gets stuck in a rain storm and meets with a horrible accident. His car falls into a river and he drifts away into Pakistan. A beautiful girl named Heena finds him unconscious in the river and brings him to a village and give him treatment. Due to the accident Chander has lost his memory and does not know his name or where is has come from. Soon Heena falls in love with Chander but due to his lack of memory he is disturbed and unable to reciprocate her love.
Slowly Chander gets his memory back and wants to return to India. Unfortunately Heena gets killed due to bomb explosion. The film is directed and produced by Randhir Kapoor. The music is composed by Ravindra Jain. The story is written by Jayendra Jain, K A Abbas and V P Sathe and the screenplay is by Jainendra Jain. The star cast includes Rishi Kapoor, Ashwini Bhave,Zeba, Saeed Jaffrey,Raza Murad,Kiran Kumar,Shafi Inamdar,Kulbhushan Kharbanda,Dilip Dhawan, Farida Jalal, Tina Ghai and Roma Manik.
