Police commissioner Shrikant Mathur is a diligent and honest police officer who will not let criminals get their way at any cost. He arrests the dreaded gangster Pasha and locks him up. His trusted aid Jackie then comes to meet Shrikant and demands his release but the latter refuses. Thus Jackie kidnaps his daughter Radha as revenge. He tells Radha that he is a cop. Slowly Radha and Jackie fall in love. Soon Radha comes to know his true identity and requests him to change his ways. Giving it a thought and being really in love with her, Jackie surrenders to the police. After his release, Jackie begins to work in a garage but Shrikant does not accept him as his son-in-law. Meanwhile Pasha also gets released from jail and is now hell bent on revenge. He kidnaps Radha, her brother Damodar and Shrikant. Jackie comes just in time and saves them all and finally Jackie and Radha get married. The film is directed and produced by Subhash Ghai. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The star cast includes Shammi Kapoor, Sanjeev Kumar, Jackie Shroff and Meenashi Sheshadri.
