The film tells the story of Madhavankutty (Mammootty), a wealthy man who was referred to as "Hitler" in his community because of his rough demeanor, dictatorial nature, and unbridled fury toward the local youth for chasing his five young sisters. He loves his family more than everything in the world, but he never shows them his affection. Since their mother passed away, he had been taking care of the family. The children from their previous marriage do not even speak to their father, Pillechan (Innocent), who has since remarried and had two daughters. Madhavankutty's uncle Gangadhara Menon is to blame for this separation, which is made clear in a later section of the novel.
